OSI Group Aurora, IL (Onsite) Full-Time

This role is responsible for cooking in the Corporate Office kitchen, to include menu planning, supply ordering, cooking, cleaning, shopping and coordinating items needed for meetings and special events.

• Job is an individual contributor.
• Job is an individual contributor and has no direct reports.
• Plan and prepare lunch daily for Corporate Office employees and their guests.
• Order supplies and food as needed.
• Establish procedures and perform cleaning of the kitchen on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Shop for grocery items as needed.
• Coordinate special menus and services as needed for meetings, special events, dinners, etc.
• Conform to kitchen and food facility safety and health regulations usage procedures.
• Maintain soft drink and coffee supplies.
• Maintain Food Handling certification at company expense as required by State Health regulations.
• This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in related field is preferred.
  • Experience n mass feeding, commercial or food service environment.
  • Work is generally performed within a kitchen/culinary environment.
  • This role does not require any domestic travel
  • Position requires the physical agility to perform continuous lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
  • Position requires the physical ability to stand/walk for the duration of work hours.
