Job Description

Chef/Kitchen Manager supervises entire scope of Kitchen Operations at OSI’s Corporate office. Develops and executes menus, trains, supervises and motivates the kitchen team. Creates a great experience for employees and guests of OSI. Supervises entire cycle of food ordering methods, deliveries, inventory, production, menu creation, creativity, developing new ideas and concepts, presentation, safety systems, unit cleanliness systems, catering functions (if applicable),  and willingness to be a team player within our company.

  • Monitor and enforce standard operating procedures and guidelines for the kitchen team.
  • Train and supervise the kitchen team to maintain high standards of sanitation, food safety, and nutritious meals.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Kitchen Team, ensuring all food items are prepared within all food safety guidelines and with the highest quality possible.
  • Perform all opening and closing duties including equipment and store room temperatures, calibrating thermometers and advance planning for next day’s menu.
  • Constantly guide staff to be more productive and efficient.
  • Plan properly for upcoming menus - including ordering, thawing and all advance preparation, utilizing fresh ingredients.
  • Follow recipes and use correct portion sizes when cooking food; tasting foods to ensure quality.
  • Monitor and maintain proper inventory for operation and menus.
  • Manage weekly inventory, ordering, and maintain budget/cost per employee.
  • Maintain production records for all foods prepared being used.
  • Maintain temperature logs for all foods prepared, during holding, cooling and any re-heating.
  • Assist and supervise overall sanitation and organization of kitchen and serving lines.
  • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels ensuring employee feedback is incorporated as applicable.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree, or Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and/or equivalent experience

  • 3-5 years of culinary and management experience

  • Valid Sanitation Certification is required
