AVP, Global IT – Application/PMO

OSI Group Aurora, IL (Onsite) Full-Time

This role is responsible for creating and executing the global IT application and project 
management strategy. This role partners with key business stakeholders to create 
linkages and efficiencies within technology solutions to improve business results. 
Partners with the Global VP of Security/Infrastructure in defining specific strategies 
globally, develop appropriate ways to introduce the aligned strategies within OSI 
Industries and supports the implementation processes in a matrixed organization.

Job manages a team, has authority to hire and performance-manage the team.
• Job leads/supervises/manages 1-5 employees.
• Defines the strategy and vision within application solutions and PMO across
the global. 
• Viewed as a Subject Matter Expert within the organization. 
• Directs and manages the activities and employees associated with providing 
technical services to internal customers by identifying, prioritizing, and 
confirming resolution of reported problems. 
• Interprets and explains information to audiences who are not familiar with the 
subject matter often requiring persuasion. 
• Uses experience or precedent to identify solutions or to adapt existing 
approaches to resolved issues. 
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of 
the function. 
• Supports and maintains effective relationships with business functions.
• This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice 
appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through 
education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by 
following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws. 
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

10+ years of experience in related field is preferred.
• Uses advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills to adapt
policies.
• Contributes to delivery of discipline/department goals through personal effort or
through influence over employees.
• Accountable for meeting own target which will impact the function.
• 10+ years of experience within a global organization
• Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products

BA/BS or equivalent is preferred.
• Desired Certification: ITSM or ITIL
O ITSM or ITL
o VMware VCAP or VCIX or VCDX
o Microsoft MCSA or MCSE or SCCM

Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, 
with standard office equipment available.
• Work conditions are typical of an office environment.
• This role requires both domestic and international travel.
• Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 15 pounds
• Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, 
pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, 
controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
• Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Less than 4 hours.
