Job Description

The Accounts Receivable -  Promotions Coordinator will report to the Supervisor Promotions Administrator and be responsible for a variety of accounts receivable functions including but not limited to researching, analyzing and resolving deductions, applying payments, and reporting customer balances to sales and management. The ideal candidate will have relevant work experience preferably in the food/beverage manufacturing industry.

  • Applying customer payments, preparing deduction documentation and validating and clearing deductions against appropriate promotional plans in our trade management system (Adesso) as well as SAP.
  • Analyze and process customer post audits for assigned accounts. This includes validation by using Excel and other software to substantiate findings.
  • Engage customers, brokers, sales staff, Supervisor as required to resolve complex issues.
  • Communicate with brokers, customers, sales and internal staff on outstanding unauthorized deductions, this includes understanding the process for requesting and collecting repayment of invalid deductions, identifying trends and resolving issues which cause invalid deductions.
  • Identify and drive process improvement for reducing administrative costs by streamlining processes and reducing deduction volume.
  • Involved in special tasks such as gathering of information for auditors.
  • Other duties as assigned including assistance in special projects.

Job Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills as candidate is required to deal with people both individually and in groups to resolve conflicts.
  • Strong PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and preferably SAP.
  • Experience in Credit/Trade deductions, food industry preferred.
  • Ability to work in a multi-task environment with multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities and specific time constraints.
  • Ability to adapt to the business’ changing needs
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Be proactive and have a positive attitude
  • Work well as a team member.
  • Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 15 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision to a computer screen.
