Job Description

Position Summary

Preparing pickle and injection of bellies and retention of pickle; getting the bellies read to cook. Processing cooked and frozen bellies for slicing.

Major Position Responsibilities

  • May be assigned to do Pre-Op
  • Set up of the machinery
  • Required to tear machine down
  • Required to dump inedible
  • Required to inspect product to make sure it’s to customer specification
  • Required to stand 8 to 10 hours a day
  • Required to lift possibly up to 50 pounds, repetitively
  • Move wheeled racks of finished and/or frozen bellies weighing up to 1,200 pounds
  • Required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb up and down stands
  • Required to reach above shoulders to hook and pull raw bellies from dumper
  • Lift above shoulders to hang bellies on each/ or pull bellies off of rack
  • Inserting and removing belly combs from raw and frozen bellies
  • Noisy, Cold, and wet environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements


  • Must be able read a scale and document weights to lot sheets and SAP
  • Must be able to understand and inspect for customer specifications and requirements
  • May be required to work up to seven (7) days per week, as needed, to meet customer orders

Experience/Skills (cont.)

  • Must be able to wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • May be required to obtain Lockout/Tagout Certification
  • May be required to obtain a power Walker License
  • May be required to become HACCP certified
