Job Description

Under general direction, the Project Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the Finance Shared Services project and processes. This role is responsible for driving the variable tasks of the project, maintaining the adherence to project timelines, holding stakeholders accountable to project tasks and milestones and reporting to sponsor committee regular status updates. The project manager is responsible for delivering the project on time within budget and scope. The project managers should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis and hold a current PMI or PMP certification.

  • Responsible for the development of requirements and scope to create a project plan that will ensure realistic tasks, resources and milestones to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Facilitate project team and steering committee meetings based on project status and issue/decision resolution
  • Manage a variety of implementation and upgrade projects including the development of project specifications, timelines, teams, test systems, comprehensive testing plans, production transition, end user training, change management, go live rollout, and post live support.
  • Responsible for Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Document all systems related decisions, configuration changes, security policies, operational procedures, and other related practices related to the project
  • Accountable for ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee data and organization plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • 3-5¬†years of project management experience.

  • Project implementation experience.

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • PMP or PMI certification is a plus

  • Change Management experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
