Job Description

This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor working in the freezer warehouse and loading dock while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must be able to lift tubs/boxes up to 50 pounds
  • Responsible for loading/unloading the freezer racks with raw materials and loading trucks with finished product
  • Must understand date codes, product numbers, labels, etc. Move product in and out of the freezer
  • Receive and transfer product to and from outside sources
  • Check and load outbound customer orders 
  • Use a hand held scanner to maintain inventory
  • Follow GMP’s, PPE, Safety and Quality procedures
  • Alerts supervision of errors
  • Other duties may be assigned by Supervisor

Job Requirements


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must be able to understand product label (Product code numbers, product descriptions, total lbs of each product)

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger handle, or feel. These positions are fast pace and require repetitive motion. Use of hands and arms above shoulder level. Walking, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, and reaching are required in all areas. Must be able to climb up and down stairs to get to/from the work areas; this job will require working in a cold and damp refrigerated environment of approximately -10 to 38 degrees and require standing 8-12 hours per day.

  • The employee frequently is required to walk. The team member must frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and extreme cold or hot temperature.

  • One or two years of forklift experience required.
