Job Description

Position Summary
This position will provide administrative support to routine human resource departmental activities including employee program administration, data entry, and employment verifications. This individual must act as a liaison between the employees and the business.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist in the application process; set up interviews, set up drug screens, initiate background checks.
  • Create requisitions and disposition candidates as needed.
  • Process HRIS data entry; enter new hires, terminations, promotions, employee changes, and rate increases.
  • Post announcements as well as union vacancies internally.
  • Assist in the facilitation of new hire orientation.
  • Assist in tracking attendance records, vacations, and leave of absences.
  • Mail FMLA documentation as directed.
  • Create reports around relevant Human Resource data.
  • Review employee time cards, reconcile time cards, and approve time cards as needed.
  • Monitor the attendance line as needed.
  • Maintain employment files.
  • Perform employee verifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High School degree is required

  • Zero to three years of entry level Human Resources or related experience.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to confidentially handle a variety of sensitive employee information.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.

  • Ability to learn new applications quickly.

  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
